In Year 7, the students will receive a little more care and attention due to the transition from the Primary phase into Secondary. Tutors will support and guide the students through their first year in secondary, reporting to a Head of Year 7 for all matters which require further support. Academically students will experience a wide breadth of subjects which are taught by experienced subject practitioners. They will also be able to access further opportunities through our extra-curricular activities programme throughout the week, plus our usual mix of Sport, Music and Art clubs too.

In Year 8, the students will continue to receive support from both their tutor and Head of Year, with more emphasis on independence . The Year 8 tutors will support and guide the students throughout their year, ensuring that our very high standards of behaviour and academic success are continued.

In Year 9, we start to focus the students minds to further educational pathways and possible careers. Early on in the year we will begin to discuss the opportunities that certain subjects will allow the students to pursue. We do this by completing an online test that allows the students to gain feedback regarding possible university courses and future careers. From here we discuss the (I)GCSE options available to them and support them in making their choices during the year. During this time they are also supported by experienced Tutors and  a Head of Year, plus all of the excellent opportunities we provide outside of the classroom are still available as they continue to grow and mature, ready for their IGCSE years.
